Andrew has been a dream to work with. Creative and prompt, he is the ideal person to collaborate with on a major project. To be honest, I wasnt exactly sure what I wanted when we started. I only knew I wanted some sort of addition on the back of my 1912 Craftsman. He was patient and really held my hand through the whole process. Every time we met he came to the table with options and explanations. I cant recommend him enough!

Working with Matt on a 1910s bungalow remodel / addition. The home is for my daughter & husband who live in LA and I am in the east coast, so you can imagine the challenge.
Matt has made the process very positive, from navigating between 2 coasts, 2 generations and at the same time understanding the LA building codes, processes and substantial challenges. This includes going to the zoning and / or planning departments for review. Matt also does not just listen well and move forward but is good at gently providing opinions and options.
In addition, Matt has been to recommend several trades teams that he has personally worked with on his home and other projects. Cant tell you how much this helps, having good contractors to team up with.
Matt has truly been the glue to help us proceed the the landmines of 100 year old homes, designs and the approval process. Oh yeah, the plans came out great!!

Have a realistic budget in mind before you start planning. It can be very general but should be honed with some assitance. A professional can help with that.

Make a list of what you want to acheive.  It may be quite simple but putting it down on paper will begin the realization process and start to make it real...for everyone invovlved.
