About this pro

I am a force-free trainer who focuses on all aspects of a dogs well-being (which includes exercise, enrichment, diet and the bond between dog & owner).

I truly love working with all dogs but the puppies & teenagers (6 months - 2 years) are my favorites.  The challenges they can bring push me as a trainer and the transformation is always amazing.

I am a  professional member of the Pet Professional Guild and the Association of Professional Dog Trainers.  I also volunteer my time with Golden Gate Lab Rescue in whatever capacity needed.  I continue to further my education with conferences and online/in person (when we can again) classes.

You can follow me on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/smpawsativedogtraining/   or check at my website at https://smpawsativedogtraining.wordpress.com

Of course I truly love working with the dogs but the thing I enjoy the most is watching the progress and bond that grows between dogs and their humans through training.

Jennifer is very knowledgeable and amazing with my dog! She connected with my dog instantly. She takes the time to provide you with the tools to work with your dog and she really understands your connection with your dog. Hands down a really great trainer and amazing person!

Jennifer is patient, kind and understanding... and that’s just with the humans she works with! She has an uncanny knowledge of “dog” and will work with you on basic training, and then be able to pinpoint the areas that may need some additional focus. The best thing about Jennifer is her no-judgement approach to my dogs. One of them can be viewed as difficult, but for Jennifer, my dog was worthy of her time. Kindness. Knowledge. Experience. Patience. I trust Jennifer. So should you.

Jennifer provided us with the key to helping our Lab rescue adjust to a household with two cats. Her expert guidance helped him settle into our home and neighborhood and become secure enough to reveal his loving, goofy personality. Jennifer was always responsive to our questions and always too the time to encourage us when we were on the right path with training. I am happy to highly recommend her!
