Evaluation is first to determine a plan of action. 

I am 1 semester shy of a bachelor's in psychology from CSULB. Dog Trainer certification Penn Foster, clicker training certificate Karyon Pryor Academy, 10 years Army teaching and training, 10 years experience working with clients and their dogs. 

In home training is 125 a session, depending on where you live, with package deals providing a discount. 

I was medically retired from the Army in 2012 and started out just giving advice to people on how to teach and control their dogs. After helping a couple veterans train their own service dogs, I felt maybe I could train dogs for a living. 

I have had the privilege of working for many different people. I started out in clarksville TN when I retired from the Army. I am now back home in orange county CA. I have worked for breeder's and rescues, people with disabilities and those that want to go hiking and camping with their dog. I have worked with highly aggressive dogs, as well as anxious dogs. I have clients who bring me their brand new puppy and those that need help with a senior dog. 

I recently had a client with a 4 year old German shepherd. The dog was known as the neighborhood Land shark. The family had reached out to a couple dog trainers who wanted to take the dog for an extended period and inflated price tag. In 2 training sessions we had the dog walking around the neighborhood. 4 sessions later he was playing at the dog park, 6 sessions later he is a new dog. This was a scared dog who just happened to weigh 160lbs. By teaching the family how to control and communicate with their dog, he was able to show them what an awesome dog he really was. 

Ask lots of questions and don't be afraid to meet with a couple of trainers before deciding on one.
