About

I am a California licensed architect, with an in active license in Texas. I graduated from the Southern California Institute of architecture in Santa Monica California. I have been in the field of architecture since 1973 in Orange County California, working for several architects before venturing out on my own in 1978. I moved back to San Bernardinoin 2002 for family reasons, and been here ever since. My practice is still primarily in orange county and involves all areas of the practice of architecture; residential, commercial and hospitality. My involvement with projects start at the inception and continue through to the end of construction. Determining the overall scope of the project, the architectural and structural design, and the entitlement process through constructionare all part of the work offered.

I also work in the field of construction litigation and investigation. This involves the visual and sometimes intrusive testing of buildings to determine what caused a particular building element failure.

I work to ensure that the client gets the project the dreamed of and make sure that it functions properly and requires the minimal amount of maintenance. That it is built in compliance with the approved plans and any variation from that is approved by the client both for cost and purpose.

I recently completed a 2500 ft.2 addition to a 6000 ft.2 house in the hills of Newport Beach. I a was the architect of record and have since been retained to deal with homeowners association issues and the possible litigation if the problems are not resolved amicably with the Association.

When I am retained for a job it becomes personal, and I do everything to keep the client informedof every step to remove any possibility of confusion or misinterpretation. I watched the process on behalf of the owner to ensure money is not wasted.

The idea that I can allow the client to enjoy the process while knowing that everything will be executed in compliance with the approved plans, and that they will get what they pay for.

My scope of services varies dramatically from project to project, and may involve designing repairs for damaged structures or a completely new building. It may involve ground issues, a leaky roof or cracking plaster of an existing structure. Due to my lengthy professional career I have many associates in various fields who are all experts, and can help with any investigation or problem. I can find the right expert for any type of project or problem if I don't have the answers myself.

My goal is to see the client happy in the end, both with the design and construction phases.
