About this pro

Color. Style. Travel. Fashion.

Award winning, nationally published interior designer Robbie Maynard, ASID, NCIDQ, specializes in weaving these elements together to create luxury interiors that reveal themselves, layer after layer, to tell the most beautiful narrative of her client's lives.

Drawn by Robbie's extensive interior design education, 25+ years of interior design experience in San Diego and her knowledge of tradespeople there, many of Southern California's most discerning homeowners have placed their trust in her to design their homes and offices.

Whether traditional, vintage, eclectic, industrial, modern or transitional, Robbie is well respected for her ability to work in different styles. She is also equally willing to contract for the design and renovation of a 1200 SF beach front condo in San Diego as she is for a 10,000 SF estate in Rancho Santa Fe and it's this flexibility, plus her warm personality, keen attention to detail and high standards for craftsmanship that have endeared her clients to her.

Her interiors are often full of colorful, delightful, creative surprises that bring her clients joy and the personalized touches that make their lives more comfortable, functional and enjoyable.

Nationally, Robbie has been featured on HGTV's Designers Challenge, published in Better Homes and Garden magazine and was recently a member of Modenus' Blog Tour to the National Kitchen and Bath Industry Show.

She is also well known to San Diego Homes/Garden Lifestyles magazine's readers as a frequent contributor of design tips and her work has won several awards, including San Diego Magazine's *Home of The Year Award* for Interior Design and that same magazine's *Best Powder Bath Award.*

As one of San Diego and Southern California's top interior designers, with the educational credentials and extensive, local experience to back that claim up, we invite you to contact Robbie, if you're considering hiring a luxury interior designer for your own home or office.

Robbie will design your home or office to tell your story.

HOW DOES THE INTERIOR DESIGN AND REMODELING PROCESS WORK?

When developing your team for a remodel or new construction, it is essential to bring in an interior designer at the initial planning stages to ensure your practical and aesthetic needs are met.

Over our 28 years in the business, Robbie Interiors has developed a step by step plan to properly turn your house into a home:

INITIAL MEETING

First we will meet at your home or job site to review the details, goals and budget. Blueprints are helpful, as well as magazine photos depicting rooms and styles that you like.

LETTER OF AGREEMENT AND DESIGN FEES

Based on the initial meeting, we will prepare a detailed Letter of Agreement that outlines the scope of services to be performed. A preliminary Design Fee is requested before proceeding with your project.

SECOND MEETING

After the Letter of Agreement is accepted, a follow-up consultation takes place in your home to obtain detailed measurements and evaluation of existing conditions and furnishings. If you have blueprints of your home, we will need a copy of them at this time. Questions regarding your needs, utilization of space, and budget, are also discussed in further detail.

DESIGN PHASE

Based on prior meetings, a preliminary conceptual design scheme is presented. Various interior design elements may be presented such as floor plans, photos, sketches, furnishing ideas, fabrics, as well as samples of finishes, flooring, countertops, cabinetry, wall and window treatments, lighting and hardware to help you visualize your design plan. We also explore the function and purpose of the space to make certain we maximize its potential. Over several meetings, specific design details are discussed in greater depth.

PURCHASE AGREEMENT

Once the design concept has been accepted and approved, a purchase agreement is prepared. At this time, a deposit is required to place the order with manufacturers. Robbie Interiors will follow up on all orders and coordinate / oversee all installations.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

As your design advocate Robbie Interiors will work closely with the team, of architects, general contractors, landscape designers, sub contractor and others – to help ensure your project runs smoothly. A successful collaboration amongst all parties involved — including the homeowner – will produce a beautiful end result!
