Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I can work hourly on small projects that require a few hours of design time. I.E. selecting a paint color or a light fixture or decorative elements.
I prefer to charge a flat fee for more in-depth services such as redesigning a whole kitchen. That way there are no surprises and my client knows exactly what they are spending
How did you get started in this business?
I worked extensively for large architectural firms for the first 10 years of my career, which allowed me to develop technical skills.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask a lot of questions, make sure you understand their depth of knowledge. The more you learn, the better the relationship will be in the long term.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Anything that comes to mind. If the designer is hesitant to be transparent with you, that's not a good sign from the beginning. They need to be respectful of your time and budget.
