Hi! My name is Natalie, I am a play therapist with the Oakland Unified District that adores animals. I feel honored to meet and care for all sorts of new animal friends. I started off in 2015 caring for a golden retriever puppy while the family was on vacation, and now that golden is 4 years old and one of my best friends. During that time I have cared for guinea pigs, smaller dog breeds, and cats. I own a snake of my own, and she does not get jealous of me spending time with other people's pets. I hope to one day own a golden retreiver of my own, and train it to be a therapy dog. I can provide references if needed.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet customers where they are at, and get information on their needs and concerns. I love to learn about the pets personality and needs. Also, I like to hear the expectations owners have around communication. I'm happy to send pictures, videos, and updates or keep communication to a bare minimum--whatever the owner wants.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
No formal education, but I am a child and adolescent therapist in Oakland School District. I think this quite relates because I'm passionate about caring for others.
