Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to make this process as seemless as possible by utilizing professionals that specifically take on task, and can cohesively work well with each other. Having a background in project management helps with this process, and knowing what the next step is is imperative.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
General Contracting (CSLB)
Project Mangement UCLA
Finish Carpentry and Cabinetry (Many Building businesses)
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
20-25% depending upon if the project is a renovation, remodel, restoration, or new construction, and the details associated with those projects.
How did you get started in this business?
My brother convinced me to get into cabinetry, and I have come from a long line of builders.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have the tendency to work with clients that are semi retired, or retired, and want to have a place to live for the remaining years of their life.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The birth of my son.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask lots of questions. This is a hard question, because trust is hard to gain and easily lost with people. You really want to make sure that the person you are creating a relationship with is going to be doing the best job. You want to make sure that the contractor will be doing a project that they care about. References is another one.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I try to make the process as easy as possible. Unless the client has designs, we can provide clients the design for them, then after agreeing to the design we go over the scope of work, bid out the project from our knowledgeable team, then start the project once agreed upon. If it’s a remodel, we do our best to isolate noise, dust and debris. Working diligently on completing the project in a timely fashion.
