Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Request a clear current photo, provide an estimate then set an appointment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Trained by a master groomer 16 years ago. Grooming school attended in 2015. CPR and animal handling courses completed.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Price depends on the size, breed and condition of the coat. Small dogs start at $30 under 10 lbs
How did you get started in this business?
I started school to be a veterinarian technician, at my first clinic I took an interest in grooming and was trained by the owners wife who was a master groomer.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types. I specialize in difficult dogs and special cases. Cats are also something I do a lot of as well.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I found a little dog on the side of the road as I was leaving an appointment. He was so matted you could barely tell it was a dog. I picked him up after much coaxing and took him home to groom. He was very scared and reluctant but after a few days of grooming slowly I got him finished and found him a home.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
If possible meet the groomer prior to tour appointment it's very helpful to your pet to meet someone before a typically stressful situation tends to help ease tension. If your dog doesn't like the person right away don't take that as a bad sign right away.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What haircut do you want? Last time the pet was groomed? How did the last groomer say they did? Have a current clear full body photo.
