About
Hello, we are a dog grooming salon specializing in grooming small, in between, and large dogs. This is our 5th year grooming for ourselves and we are continuing to grow. Pet-Pals started out as a home based grooming salon, but soon quickly outgrew our shop. As much as I wanted to stay my priority was to take care of my customers and pet needs first. We moved to a very convenient location close to shopping centers, restaurants, barbers, nail salons, & gyms. Pet-Pals still offers reasonable rates compared to most shops around and a friendly atmosphere. We love our new shop and we will gladly show you around. We are family oriented and the pets love hanging out with the children in the Rec room. Come on over we look forward to meeting you. We offer all types of grooming, bath & brush, nails trims, and wash club specials.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Customer calls Pet-Pals for appointment, generally gives a brief description of their pets, give a brief description of their wants, type of groom or in need of a Bath & Brush, then the groomer will give an approximate price range until the groomer meets the customer and will assess your pet and give an actual price.
Customer will on appointment day bring in your pet info such as age, name rabies shot info, veterinarian and sign a form pertaining to your pet.
New customers will get generally get a welcome package, which sometimes include a specially shampoos or free teeth cleaning & mouth freshener, to actual discount.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Grooming Certificate
Training dogs, Horses, studied animal behavior, worked at several grooming shops befor opening my own shop.
I am always continually staying up on the newest education on grooming techniques, shampoos, grooming tools & equipment, to best meet your pets needs.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
How did you get started in this business?
I have always bathed animals since I was a little girl having my own pets. I started bathing my own dogs and horses and from there i would volunteer washing my mothers dogs and my friends. To this day I will bathe my friends pets that are unable to do so themselves. Everyone kept telling me why don’t you start your own shop since you’re already doing it and you love animals. I used to work at a grooming shop in Texas and in Tucson before I opened my own.
What types of customers have you worked with?
This is a tall question, in my field, we work with all kinds of dogs of all sizes, breeds and coats.
To be specific, our type of customer is limited to dogs only! ;-)
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently, I had a customers dog laid his head on my shoulder and this touched me in more ways than one. Unless you groom and bathe dogs, no one truly understands what that means for a dog to do that and how that makes me feel. It's not just the one event, there are several times I get kisses from customer pets that are actually happy to see me!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask questions, most groomers will help you with your grooming concerns and will help you when they feel your pet needs a veterinarian.
If you feel your pet's shampoo is not working for your pet, discuss this with your groomer and they will help come up with a solution that meets your pets needs.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Whether you want a groom or a bath & Brush, be clear on what one you want. Ask questions about this and what comes with each one.
Ask questions about why your groom does not look like the show dogs, if thats what you want. Keep you mind, every pets coat is different, some are long and thin, some are short and curly, some with barely any hair at all and some with super thick coats. What all this mean, you may see a pet come like a beautiful model, while others don't, ask questions about this so you will not be disappointed.
