Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I have a new client for pet sitting, I always like to have a free consultation first to make sure me and their pets are a good match. If their dog is skiddish in any sort of way, I always like to have a meet up where the owner and I can go out for a walk with their dog. This ensures some bonding before I will stay at their home and help care for their dog.
For dog training, I always have a free consultation to make sure that I am a good fit for what the owner and dog needs in terms of training. If we are a good fit I will then come up with a plan that the owner and I will discuss.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

How did you get started in this business?
My love for dogs has been no secret for as long as I can remeber. Growing up I lived with a Husky, Boxer and then a Great Dane who we had for 13 years! After living with such a diverse group of pups, I fell in love! I even have two dogs of my own. My Great Dane (Blue) and my Golden Retriever (Mender). Both of my dogs are the light of my world!
I always knew that I wanted to work with dogs in some sort of way, I just was not sure in what aspect. I then met someone back in 2012 who was raising a dog for Canine Companions for Indepence. I instantly fell in love with the organization and signed up to be a puppy raiser right then. My first CCI dog was named Scarlett. She was the first dog I actually trained. After that, I fell in love with training. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a dog figure out what you are trying to communicate with them! I also love being able to help a owner and their pup have a better relationship by learning how to better commuincate with eachother.
After raising my first CCI dog, I decided to go to Dog Training school through National K9. The rest is history! :)
