About this pro

I am a mobile dog groomer from Arizona and just moved here a month ago. I specialize with dogs with anxiety and older dogs that maybe have a hard time moving around. I give one on one care when your pet is with me. I only do one appointment at a time, multiple dogs must be from same household. I think I'm a little unconventional because I'm going to take all the time your dog needs to get clean and healthy. If they need to hide for a bit to feel better so be it. I'm never in a rush and usually like 2 hours for a full groom. I have everything for safety and buy amazing products for all skin types. With gas prices what they are I try and make it simple and include everything in one price. Only 2 upcharges for deshed and flea and tick baths. I don't know how it is out here but I haven't seen a flea in 30 years.

I enjoy keeping dogs happy and healthy. I also have made this job suit me very well. I do not overwork myself and I take extra time with appointments so I don't feel rushed or stressed ever. Which keeps me in a pretty good mood all the time.

  • Adele Lovell

She cares about her clients and treats them well. She did a VERY good job on my 100 pound Golden Retriever who likes to lay down during grooming. So far she is the best we have had. I will call on her again when needed. Adele Lovell & Baylewic..

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I give a welcome package that explains how it all works. I have a conversation with the partent and answer any questions. Plus I  have an open door so if or when they would like to check in and see how things are going. Clients can sit in if it's not huge distraction even. I'm very easy going and accommodated as much as I can to everyone's wishes.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I went to school for grooming at Petco as an apprentice.  Then did another apprenticeship with a mobile dog groomer who has her own business. Found I adored the one on one with my dog clients. I love that I work at my own pace never having to crank out so many dogs in a day. I have no quotas to meet... Ever. I specialize with older dogs and dogs with anxiety because I have the time and give all the attention needed for special pets.

I have made guidelines for myself so this dosent become a job I have to do or not want to do. I try to stay at 4 dogs a day so I don't get burnt out. Mobile also gives me an opportunity to continue my education by watching videos at work. I keep it fun for me in my van.

I'm glad I got the experience working in a salon but this is my expertise and I'm good at it.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

My prices very with breed, size and condition of fur. Everything is included with my price.

What's included for bath... shampoo, blueberry facial, leave in conditioner, blow dry, teeth brushing and dental spray, cleaning of the ears, plucking of ears if needed or wanted, nails and dremel if possible, cologne, bandana or bows. Haircuts are about 15 to 20 more depending on the cut. I also do a face, feet and tail clean up for about 10 to 15 more.

How did you get started in this business?

I have a dog with extreme anxiety and she was almost an unadoptable. The second time I took her to a groomer at a salon, well a big Corporate Place. She flipped out and of my hands. I passed on the groom and that night saw a job to become a groomer. I took it as a sign but I also know now what is stressful places long can be. I didn't enjoy it only because of the loud and hectic environment. So I work as hard as I could to start my own business in a year and 4 months!

What types of customers have you worked with?

I've worked with all kinds if people. My clients are the best and he's treated me so well. Of course, I've had some rough ones but they ended up being my best clients once they got to know me. Everyone is allowed a bad day.... Once, right?
