What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first part of our design service begins with the Concept Design Stage where we outline the basic design to include: Site Plan, vehicle access, floor plans, building overall design & design character. During this process we make multiple floor plan studies and 3D models with short videos and study floor plans along the way so you can thoroughly understand the design layout and look...
Once this comprehensive Concept Design stage has finished we all can clearly understand the full scope of the design, its complexity and approximate costs. Then once you decide to move forward with the project then begins the next phase of Construction Documents. These are the detailed plans integrating the Architecture with the Engineering for MEPS+S to be used for Permits, Contractor Bidding & Construction.
We can provide all these services and more all the way through construction.

We always offer a fixed fee set for each major stage of design based on size and complexity of project and is adjustable depending upon clients needs.
How did you get started in this business?
Architect Jeffrey H Page established SLD Architects LLC, in Scottsdale Arizona in 1996 after 9 years as a young licensed architect in Syracuse New York.
The Arizona desert offers some of the most beautiful environments in which to design creative, responsible, sensitive architecture, you can see several examples of our unique style around the valley, both residential and commercial.
Architect Jeffrey H Page now has over 27 years multi-faceted design experience with many outstanding building design projects across the USA from New York to Seattle to Phoenix to Los Angeles.
Since 2008 we have been providing Architectural Design and Concept Development for bespoke projects throughout the UAE in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and have commissioned designs in India, Africa, Pakistan, Indonesia, Oman, Kuwait, KSA, and now for 2017 we have new projects in UAE, Majorca Spain as well as our home city of Phoenix Arizona!

Mr Page received his early education in Mathematics & Sciences in OCC, Syracuse New York 1986, Studied Aerospace Engineering at Iowa State University 1984, he received his second degree in Architecture from OCC, Syracuse NY and furthered his undergrad studies of Architecture at Arizona State University in 1988.
Mr Page has two professional USA licenses to practice Architecture:
University of the State of New York, #024703 issued in 1994.
Arizona State Board of Technical Registration AZBTR #33127 issued in 1998.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Constructing your own custom home takes a tremendous amount of time, effort and money. The most important factor guiding this investment are the overall Concept Designs and Construction Documents, so make sure they are good!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Always good to have the property in mind and be in a position to actively pursue the design process.
Overall time frame for new home Concept Design is 3-4 months + a few months more for Construction Documents and Engineering time depending upon size & complexity.
After that Construction Docs Phase and Permits are granted you should allow 12-18 or more months depending upon size of project, complexity, capabilities of contractor and availability of materials and even local code and approvals will have impacts on built times.
