I am a professional dog groomer with 6 years of experience. After working in salon settings I decided that I wanted to provide a luxury service that is dedicated to providing one on one service at the client's door. Hence, Fur Pet's Sake, LLC arose to give dog parents the opportunity to receive house call ( in home) grooming. I am the only employee/owner! Therefore your dog gets groomed by me every single time, not a different person that at each visit. It takes the stress out of the grooming process. Grooming your dog in their own environment with you present is far more comfortable for both of you. You are welcome to observe the entire process. Quality, convenience, simplicity, less stress all around.
I bring portable equipment into your home, garage, or area of your choosing. No need to worry about mess or clean up. I so my best to make it look like I was never there.
I enjoy the difference I make from when I first start a groom to finishing it. The before and after not only shows in appearance but in the dogs demeanour as well.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I gather as much information as possible about the dog member of the family as well as owner info during a phone conversation. I can give an estimated cost at that time. When I arrive to the home, I can visually see and assess the dogs condition and needs and I can confirm the cost for the groom. Once a release form is completed, the groom takes place.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked for a major pet store in the grooming salon for over 5 years. I had to stay safety certified yearly. I had to go to grooming school and go through a ton of training to become a groomer. I am from Illinois and earned the trust of many dogs as well as form some great relationships with the owners. Communication is important. Through time there is a dog and groomer bond.

Pricing goes by the size or breed of the dog and the type of service. Once I get their pet info I can give an estimated amount for the service they need.
How did you get started in this business?
I was a stay at home mom for years. I have owned dogs all my life. I got 1 goldendoodle, and then got another. Contrary to belief they need to be groomed alot! I had taken them to a groomer and it was awful. By this time, my kids were grown and I wanted a career that I was passionate about! I realized that I not only loved grooming my own dogs but I loved grooming period. With a ton of hard work I became a groomer and 6 years later I own my own business!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Technically my actual clients/customers are dogs. I have groomed many different breeds, sizes, and ages. Dogs are sweet, when they misbehave it is usually do to anxiety and stress. Their surroundings are a big factor in how they react to grooming. By providing my grooming service in their own environment, stress levels are reduced dramatically. Dogs have big hearts that are filled with so much love. I love when their love naturally shines through when I'm with them.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have a friend that owns a Wheaton terrier. She is a trainer and attends many competitions. She is extremely picky about who grooms her dog. She gave me the honor of grooming her dog. Her dog was so calm being in its own home during the groom. She loved the groom!
