About
I create custom programs with my design ideas based on the needs of each client. This allows the client to proceed with their project on their own, or I can complete the project with them.
I absolutely love everything about design. Having spaces that you have always dreamed of provides so much satisfaction. Using my expertise in design and the latest materials and trends, I make that dream a reality. Each project has to focus on the client and what they want. It’s great to introduce elements they may not have thought of before. Sometimes you may not know exactly what you want. It’s my job to get into those ideas and create a cohesive design plan.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
An initial consultation allows me to get to know the client and what they are hoping to achieve. This is the time for me to see the space, discuss style and understand the budget. After that I can determine the nest fee structure whether flat fee, hourly or prepared program only.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in business for thirteen years after a 35 year career in education. I have an Associates in degeee in Interior Design as well as a Bachelors’ and Masters’ degree in Education. I have been the President of the local chapter of the American Society of Interior Designer (ASID), have won Design Excellence Awards and teach interior design courses at Phoenix College.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing depends on the project. Sometime the client only needs ideas. In that case I prepare programs based on the size of the home or the number of rooms. If I am going to complete the design for them, I can usually calculate a flat fee. There is also the option for hourly work.
How did you get started in this business?
After taking my first course at Glendale Community College, I found that interior design was a true passion. Family and friends had told me for years that I had a knack for design. Learning the science of design made all of those skills come together. I look at each project as a challenge, one that needs a solution. The fun for me is finding the right solution for each client.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have complete large and small projects, residential and commercial projects and designed custom furniture. Staging new home development was a privilege and challenge that I enjoyed. Most recently, I completed work on a Lash and Make up Studio.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Traveling to Australia earlier this year expanded my global awareness of design. How design is interpreted and applied in different countries is fascinating. The historical importance of design and design elements is seen in different ways in different countries. Travel is my fondest experience.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find someone that you feel comfortable talking to about the project. You have feel comfortable saying what you like and don’t like. Your project should be about you.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
You might not know what you want or what to ask. Trusting the person is a must. You should be able to rely on them to be honest and represent your interests. Knowing your style can be tricky because defining styles is different with each person. Talking about the looks you like or have a picture file is very helpful.
