KAY-9 Mobile Pet Services: People trust me - Pets love me!
Working in a grooming shop I quickly grew disheartened by the way my furry friends were treated. I knew I had to do something to help. Now, through this business I can be sure some precious pets are being handled gently with patience and love. I am an avid animal lover and cherish every bond I've built with them through trust and kindness. I genuinely enjoy meeting new people and strive to always leave a positive impact. I'm very grateful for the opportunity to pursue my childhood dream of helping animals and making people smile.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am offering in-home pet services ranging from full-service grooming, and pet/house sitting, to equine stall cleaning. First, I come in to meet with your baby for a few minutes to earn their trust and build a bond with them. My goal is to keep our furry companions as comfortable, calm, and happy as possible. As I am self-taught and a brand new start up company, I am currently utilizing client's bathrooms or patio spaces to complete the services they request. I do come with my own professional grooming tools and products as well as cleaning supplies and a shop-vac to ensure the space utilized for services is as clean as your fur-baby before I leave.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was with a shop groomer for about 8 months. I was promised to be taught and nothing ever came of those promises even when I chased them. I chose to go off on my own. I have shadowed other experienced groomers to learn, I have collegiate level books I’ve studied, and have watched countless hours of instructional grooming videos. I am grateful for the patience, understanding, and support in my growth as a professional and new business. I have a natural knack for this, and my mission is to ensure our furry best friends are calm, safe, healthy, and happy throughout their grooming experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I do not currently have a standard pricing system as there are many variables involved. Every pet is different in size, coat condition, breed-specific cuts, and temperament. Also, every owner is different in what they are wanting to have done on their pet(s).
How did you get started in this business?
I had been working in construction for about twelve years, five of which I spent building a successful multi-state restoration company. I found myself tired and unhappy in my professional life. I decided to take a leap of faith and follow my heart, my passion... PETS. I worked in a veterinary office for a few months before switching over to the grooming side of the industry. I have found the grooming environment to be more fulfilling. Not to mention the creative freedom makes it so much fun! Grooming is definitely where I belong.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have a vast array of clients from individual pet owners to boarding facilities that call me upon their client's request. I have worked with people of all different ages and backgrounds.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My very first public client that was not a friend or family member texted me shortly after I had left our appointment to inform me her fur baby had been sitting by the door crying since I had left, and that he never does that. That is exactly why I am here. She rebooked with me right then in that same conversation. Great moment!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Trust your instincts. You will know if you or your pets are uncomfortable with a place or person.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Be sure to be clear about your expectations. How do you want your pets hair cut and shaped? Is there a specific type of shampoo or conditioner you'd like used? Do you want a basic brush or are you needing a deshedding/undercoat brush-out? Services such as nail trims, anal gland expression, or ear and teeth cleaning are generally additional charges to a bath, brush, and cut package and may not be done unless requested. The more detail you can provide the better.
