As an experienced and professional dog trainer, I have a strong background in canine behavior and training. I previously held the position of Director of Canine Training and Placement at Power Paws Assistance Dogs and currently specialize in basic canine manner and behavior modification at AZ Dog Sports.
I am passionate about providing customized training programs that address the specific needs of each dog I work with. By focusing on clear communication and trust-building, I strive to strengthen the bond between humans and canines. My approach emphasizes patience, empathy, and the power of positive reinforcement.
With a diverse range of training experience, I offer solutions for basic obedience, canine manner, socialization, desensitization, behavior modification, and specialized training such as emotional support or home helpmate canine. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
STEP 1. Evaluation/Consultation: Scheduling for evaluating a dog to find out what kind of training program a client needs. After the evaluation session, we suggest what kind of training a client needs to take. And we explain how it works for a client's dog. It's very important to find out which training class is right for clients' dogs.
STEP 2. Lessons: Lessons will be recommended after the evaluation session. Private lessons will happen at a client's house or training room. Homework will be given each time. If necessary, we will visit public places to generalize the dog's behaviors and skills.
STEP 3. Group Classes: In order to generalize and maintain the dog's behaviors and skills, Kwanho will encourage clients to take group classes once private lessons finished but it's not required.
