Punch Honeybee Company, LLC., based in Phoenix, AZ, was founded in 2014. Led by Dan Punch, former head beekeeper at the ASU Bee Laboratory, and partner Nick Baker, a biologist with eight years at the Honeybee Research Lab, the company specializes in live bee removal and relocation across Metro Phoenix and the East Valley, including emergency services. Drawing on research experience and fieldwork, they have developed methods and tools to safely and humanely extract colonies alive from nearly any structure, with particular expertise handling Africanized bees. To date, the team has rescued over 500 colonies from homes and businesses and maintains these bees on farms around the Phoenix area without antibiotics or chemicals as members of the Organic Beekeepers Group. The company also produces and sells 100% pure, local, raw honey and beeswax products. Forty percent of revenue from services and sales is reinvested in equipment to house and care for current and future colonies, supporting ongoing rescue, relocation, and public education.
