We love how Alyssa helped us with Bella's barking on a walk behavior issue! We've tried everything to correct this unacceptable and embarrassing behavior with Bella and nothing worked. We were so frustrated. After ONE lesson with Alyssa, the issue has been corrected and we are all very happy! Bella doesn't bark and lunge at the other dogs on walks anymore. She is now attentive to every step er makes and its fun for her too! Now we can all look forward to long walks without being worried how she will misbehave when other dogs are in sight. We are so grateful for you Alyssa. You have truly made our lives easier and enjoyable! ella is a cane dog on walks because of you and she is VERY HAPPY!

My puppy Zepo was becoming a little unruly. I searched for help and found lots for people who claimed to be dog trainer. I invested in a couple with no real change.I was almost ready to give u when Alyssa was recommended to me. Alyssa to Canyon State did everything she promised and more. My young dog is the wonderful companion that I wanted thanks to Alyssa. The important thins is that she got Zeppo started and gave us a foundation that we build on. I don't write many endorsements but is important to me to recognize when I get great service. Alyssa at Canyon state is a quality professional dog trainer.

Alyssa was great with our , very stubborn but VERY excited and lovable Newfoundland. she taught Maizey, but also us, on all her basic obedience, And also she taught Maizey to walk nicely on a loose lead. That is SO IMPORTANT with a giant breed dog.! Other things we were all taught were maizey to lay down and relax, go to her spot (which is a dog cat). and so much more. Alyssas picks up right away in your dogs personality and trains specifically to you and your dog. She has made our life so much more enjoyable knowing that er have the skills to handle our big girl.6-month-old

Alyssa was great with our 6 month old, very stubborn but VERY excited and lovable Newfoundland. She taught Maizey, but also us, on all her basic obedience. And also she taught Maizey to walk nicely on a loose lead. That is SO IMPORTANT with a giant breed dog! Other things we were all taught were Maizey to lay down and relax, go to her spot (which is a dog cot), and so much more. Alyssa picks up right away on your dogs personality and trains specically to you and your dog. She has made our life so much more enjoyable knowing that we have the skills to handle our big girl! Alyssa's training for my dog was life changing. Almost Everywhere I go, I'm told how well behaved my dog is! All thanks to Alyssa. It is safer for my dog now that she is trained. I used to not be able to walk my dog without her constantly pulling and now she doesn't pull when we walk and heels when needed. She knows sit, down, place, and more! It's pretty amazing! I wouldn't recommend anyone else but Alyssa to train your dog. On top of that, she is so nice and I can always text her with any questions I have. She cares about every dog she trains and it shows!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I always start with a free, no obligation training evaluation. This is done in person or over the phone depending on where you're located. This gives me a chance to ask lots of questions so I'm clear on where we're starting and what your goals are. This also gives you a chance to ask any questions and get to know me before training.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Before I trained dogs I worked in daycare and boarding where I learned tons about dog behavior and body language. I have worked under a mentor trainer and have been training professionally for about 5 years.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

I go by programs. Programs are all customizable so it's hard to say exact price but they range from $150 - $2500.

How did you get started in this business?

I wanted to work with dogs and the veterinary field just wasn't the right fit!

What types of customers have you worked with?

Young and old, I'm happy to work with anyone who is happy to work with their dog!

Most people come to me for behavior mod or if they want to teach their dog manners, but I also love puppy consultations.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Shy dogs are usually my favorite. I love taking them from that to confidence and comfort. I thinks it's the most rewarding.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Do lots of research to be sure you understand and are comfortable with training methods. There are a millions ways to train a dog and if you're not comfortable with how someone trains you always have more options!

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Am I willing to put in the time and work with this dog?

You can hire a trainer to teach your dog but if you don't follow through at home there really won't be much benefit.
