About
My name is Tabbitha Taber I work at Bryant Kennels ( owned by Laura Mayes-Hutchison) and I have the biggest heart for what I do! I have been grooming for 2 years and I absolutely love love LOVE my job. I was very fortunate to have trained with a man that won West Minister with his standard poodle at a dog show in 1989. I have also trained a little with the owner of Bryant Kennels. Where I work we have patience with our customers furbabies and take the time to get to know each and every one of them. We do our very best to make them as comfortable as possible and we take our time to make sure we achieve that goal. Please contact me with any questions!
I love getting to know all the dogs! It's also very neat to see so many different breeds!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
There should always be a proper introduction between me, the customer, and their furbaby. I ask the owner what they would like done, if the dog has ever had problems being groomed before, and if there are any kind of health issues I should be aware of. I always inspect the dog during the prerrping period before the bath to check for any skin issues, broken nails, fleas, ticks, etc. I then bathe, blow dry, and groom the dog. When the baby is finished I call the owner to pick up and tell the owner how everything went when they arrive to get their woofer!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Besides trialing with another groomer that had 38 years experience I do not have any special education in this line of work.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
There are no standard prices for boarding or grooming. Boarding prices will depend on the weight/size of your baby. The price will vary from $16 a day to $24 a day. If your baby is AGGRESSIVE AT ALL it is a flat rate of $30 a day. We don't like to stress any of the dogs out so if we are not able to get into the kennel with your baby to clean, replace bedding, feed, or water then we may not be able to board your baby.
Grooming prices depend on your baby's weight / size, the condition of their coat, what the owner would like done( example: full groom, bath and nails, just nails, bath and sanitary areas trimmed up, or just bath.), and if the baby is aggressive or not. Price will be slightly raised if aggressive.
How did you get started in this business?
I started as a bather 4 years ago in another grooming shop and decided I really loved what I was doing and wanted to move up in this line of work.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of cutomers!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for someone honest that has a true heart for animals. This line of work can get frustrating very quickly not just to you as a groomer or bather but also to the animals. You should enjoy the company of the animals you get to work on and the animals should also enjoy your company.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Just be as realistic as possible when thinking of questions to ask.
