I have been working with animals for over 17 years. I managed a kennel which had 25 indoor, 13 indoor outdoor, and 4 suites at a local veterinary clinic and worked closely with the doctors for 13 years. I can give medications, give subcutaneous fliuds, and am experienced with exotic animals as well. I prefer to sit in your home so your pet is not taken out of their own environment. (At this time I'm not taking anymore grooming clients but that may change in the future) I've had my grooming certification since 2009. I began my grooming career at Vulcan Park Animal Care, then at VCA Airline Boulevard, and The Dog House. I have experience with various breeds, complete shave downs, and cat grooming.

Currently I work 3 12s at UAB CPM as a patient care technician and unit secretary. I graduated with my BS in psychology and minored in public health at UAB. I am learning about psychiatric impatient care and gaining clinical hours working at the hospital. I'm in my 1st year as a graduate student. I want to use this as an opportunity to earn extra money, my current position is not very lucrative. What I'm gaining in experience will be worth it in the end. I plan to open a small farm where I work with children who have developmental and intellectual disabilities. I think bringing animal therapy, agricultural experiences, and alternative therapy opportunities to families will enhance the lives of these children for years to come.
