Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With covid it's been difficult to use my normal approach of meeting with the homeowners at there home and discussing what they'd like to do. So I'm in the process of a questionnaire I'm making with questions that will better prepare them for our first meeting . There's just a few extremely important things when you remodel or add an addition to a home .. the one thing I hate to discuss is monet but it's the number one thing in remodeling . The customer has to have a budget of what they want to spend based of that we can figure out what we can accomplish .. there's all these articles about never share you budget with your general contractor well sorry that's information coming from someone that's never gotten there hands dirty. How is anyone supposed to know if we're adding on 3000 square feet or 200 square feet. It also isn't a sticker shock for the customer when you say ok for the monet you have this is what I can do for you which is alot
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My family's been in the building industry before I was born, from my great grandfather taught his sons and daughters. Grew up on job sites. 12 years old driving Bob cat building water falls for my uncles street of dreams homes. So it wasn't really a question of what I'd do and that was to be a carpenter, cabinet maker and try to preserve as much as possible or restore and replicate as much as possible. But to also build a house for start to finish.
How did you get started in this business?
Tired of homeowners being taken advantage of with high prices and bad work so. I finally started my own business. I should have a long time ago I have over 20 years of experience building and remodeling homes. I don't sit in a office all day all be the guy there also doing the work.
