Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once they go to our website, they can fill out their contact info, how many draws and doors they have, download a couple of pictures that shows us their kitchen and hit send. We will have them a written quote that describes the process within minutes. Once the customer approves the estimate, it is a 10 day process time from the day we start.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My Operations Manager in this division has been a Carpenter/painter for 15 years. We have a 7000 s/f wood shop in Medford, NJ.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
It all depends on the kitchen cabinets and if there are islands, etc.
How did you get started in this business?
We started 3 years ago. We know how much it cost to have a brand new kitchen and we felt that if you have someone that has a lot of skill and talent with woodworking and painting, it would be less expensive for a Homeowner to just redo their cabinets and have the same look as new ones.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All our kitchen work is with residential.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Always make sure that they have insurance, a license and visit their shop if they have one. Look for a company that communicates and answers you within a reasonable amount of time. Look for a company that treats your home like it was their's as far a cleaniness while they are working. You want someone that is going to show up on time or at least call you if they're running late. It's all about treating your customers they way you would want to be treated, with respect and decency.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What exactly are they looking for? What is the price budget? Realize that if one business charges more then another, they're is usually a good reason for it. One might be that they have more expenses like insurance, the people that they hire are very skilled and with skill comes a price, they might have a shop that they work out of.
