Karen For The Dogs

Since 2017, Karen has welcomed over 300 dogs yearly into her home. Her love and passion for animals began as a child. Growing up at home she had never been without a dog in her life along with guinea pigs, birds, mice, gerbils and a rescued squirrel.(her poor Mom) Her now companion Golden Retriever Sampson was surrendered to her at the age of one. They quickly joined obedience training, Sam soon received his Canine Good Citizen certificate and earned his Therapy Dog Certificate. Sam and Karen are excited to volunteer and work with Nor'Western Therapy Dogs and special needs children which they find very rewarding With the little spare time Karen has she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, visiting Ross Mill Farm & Piggy Camp and taking Sam on long hikes to local parks.
