Comments: I hired Jay and his crew, to restore all of my basement walls and ceiling, post Hurricane IDA. They did an amazing job and I am so happy with the results. These guys were super responsive. They conducted a thorough review of the project, discussed all the variables and provided a very competitive quote. They started work with the team that had been part of the assessment within a couple of days from finalizing the contract. Great work done by Anthony and the guys. Comments: The flood from Hurricane Ida caused essentially a total loss in our basement. All of the mechanicals, electric and appliances in the basement either required significant repairs or full replacement. Additionally the room itself was destroyed and needed full remediation, floor sealing and new construction including drywall and replacement of the staircase. In addition to the basement we had wall damage in our mudroom as well as a need for a concrete pad to be poured to support our (new, the old one was destroyed as well) generator. I found Jack and Jay Renovation on Angi. I was surprised that they could come and quote as quickly as they offered given the problems our neighborhood experienced finding contractors. They showed up exactly when they said they would and did a thorough inspection. They were extremely polite and committed to a quote within 24 hours, which they did. The quote was competitive and versatile (often masonry is not offered by contractors), and the insurance company accepted it right away. They started working in the middle of October and we immediately felt confident that we had chosen them. The same guys showed up each day and they were extremely conscientious and clean. Throughout the project they communicated diligently with us and they would only consider any part of the project finished if we were enthusiastic about the results. We have had experiences with contractors including endless delays, needs for monies ahead of schedule, etc. None of that with these guys. I was 100% comfortable with them throughout the project, including no issues with their access to our house whether we were home or not. I am extremely happy with their results and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone and wouldn’t hesitate to call them first with any future projects.
