What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically it starts with a phone call and some questions about the scope of work the customer is looking to get done. We then have our scheduler setup a time a day for one of our designers to come by and look over the property to get some design ideas and put together the initial estimate. If the customer wants to move forward we setup a meeting with one of our designers for a more in-depth discussion about the overall look of our initial design and any additional work that may need to be done.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With over 25 years of experience in the industry we are one of the top design and build firms in New Jersey. We are a fully licensed and insured contractor and landscaper in the state of New Jersey with multiple industry certifications for paver installation, design, and retaining wall construction.

Every job is different as is every budget. Because of this we always do site visits based on our intial conversation with our customers so we can provide accurate initial estimates to ensure we fit within our customers budget. Our typical jobs run between $10,000 to $70,000 depedning on property size and the scope of the work being done.
How did you get started in this business?
Joel the owner got started in the Landscape industry as a teenager when he purchased a maintenance route with several dozen established clients. Since then he has built the business into a fully licensed landscape design & construction firm.
What types of customers have you worked with?
It is important to us that we continue to have the ability as a company to work with all types of clients. It does not matter to us the size of the customers budget, they are all treated the same. Our ideal customers are those that want turn their outdoor space into an extension of their home and who demand quality and craftsmanship in their outdoor living space. It is our goal to work with customers who enjoy spending time outdoors as much as we do.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
We are fond of all of our projects. We do not play favorites based on the size of the project or money spent. Getting to know our customers and providing them with design they are looking for is what we enjoy.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
First and foremost look beyond the price. If you speak to several designers and there is a drastic price difference look closely at what that lower price is going to give you. We all buy from the same suppliers at the same prices. Be extra careful that all designers are giving you the same scope of work in their estimates. Make sure the quality of materials they are giving you in equal. And always check their reviews everywhere. If they are not providing reviews and a portfolio or past and present work that should raise a red flag.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Have a budget in mind, this is number one. Second have some ideas of your needs and wants but be flexible. There is a good chance the designer has some ideas for something you may not have thought of. Lastly communicate clearly what it is you want from your landscape contractor to ensure that there are no surprises when a design is completed.
