Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I like to meet with a new costumer to get some feedback from what their looking to do to their home as well as their expectations from our company.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our father started the business in the late 60's and my brothers and I have carried on and expanded the business.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
There is no standard pricing for our work it depends on choices and finishes the costumer chooses as well as the scope of work requested.
How did you get started in this business?
Our father started the business which is how we got started.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Villani & Sons has worked with all types of customers throughout the years.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
Villani & Sons has completed a variety of recent projects but I am most fond of the elaborate pool house that we just completed in Elberon, NJ. We were able to work with the homeowner and Window contractor to make a few changes on the window and door selection which made a major change in the use of space for our customer.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My advise would be to make sure that when you are looking to hire a contractor that you are comparing apples to apples when comparing pricing because there are so many variations that could change a quote by 10 or 20%. This could be a deciding factor on what contractor the customer will choose but in the end if they are not careful it could cost the customer for not carefully reviewing all of the details.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
They should seriously consider what their needs are before wants. Then come up with a budget. Once you have a budget see how many of the wish list items they can incorporate into their project.
