Q & A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Myself (owner) or Craig (Project Manager) will come out for an on-site estimte - gather details - discuss the poject - in some cases offer an onsite price estimate - in most cases return an emailed detailed estimate.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Many years of management training and positions held. Worked under a general contractor for 3 years before branching off on my own to start Triangle Home Remodeling. Hold a Associate of Arts degree in computer science as well.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

No real standard as our projects do widely vary from addition building - to painting and hardwood refinishing.

How did you get started in this business?

As noted, I worked under a general contractor as a helper for a few years before brancing out on my own.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Multiple types - real estate agents - clients purchasing and selling homes - investors - homeowners - other contractors.

Describe a recent project you are fond of.

We custom built a kitchen in North Raleigh. We removed walls seperating the kitchen and living room where in the living room are three large slding glass doors overlooking a wooded rear yard. We opended up the entire room to make the kitchen/living/dining open concept and brought in all the natrual light, beyond that we custom built cabinets and a beautiful island covered by gorgeous soapstone tops.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Reach out to references, at least two. Make sure they are insured and understand that just going with the lowest priced estimate is not always the best call.
