How did you get started in this business?
Working in NYC placing ductwork in newly constructed high-rise buildings. It was very hard work, especially in the winter! My family moved to Florida, which is where I started my first HVAC firm. When we decided to move to Union County in 2004, I started a new company and have been operating locally since then. I love this area. I live in Union County, I work, shop, and enjoy many of the local restaurants and small businesses here!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Residential and small commercial customers. We have worked in homes with 7 units and homes without any AC at all! We work with all customers including mobile homes and condos. A few of our customers own several TCBY's in the area and we have a customer who owns a few pizza restaurants! We have a customer who owns a bar. Recently we worked on systems that kept cell phone tower equipment cool. We can work on clogged HVAC drain lines, condensate pumps, ductwork. We also do duct cleaning.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Having lunch with a customer who really wanted to meet the nice person behind the phone. It was a pleasure to meet her and enjoy a glass of wine with her.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure they are licensed and check their reviews! Even read the bad reviews because they can give you more insight!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Have you changed your filters recently? That will cause your system to stop working. Has there been a thunderstorm in your area? What is your budget and can you pay for the service fee at the time of service?
