Because handy men do not offer insurance I will operate with in the frames I am legally allowed to operate under the board of contractors, Lousiana board of plumbers , and North Carolina Electrical examiners(which lousiand operates with)
Jobs , We/I do not do jobs in excess of $7,500 .
I offer House fixing not limited to but to include , repairs , door installations,shingles, sheetrock , Electrical appliances(except for such as fans installed in ceillings)
I also offer Mechanical fixing with vehicles and small motor vehicles .
All bids will be fair and negotiable .
If you have something in mind ask or call.
6month Guarantee means if anything is wrong with the object that was repaired,built, or installed did not for reasons of me stay fixed,stay built, stay installed means i will come back.
Things I will not do in my current stance.
I will not instal water heaters For XY or Z (your protected and me too)
Appliances I will fix , any.
Simply Any and if I can't fix it , Free bid.
You don't have to pay me for what I do not fix period.
But I do know what im doing along those lines.
Appliances (include Labtops and Tv's)
warning : Do not atempt to fix a microwave yourself unless you have extensive knowledge on electronics , it contains capacitors and transformers that may kill you if touched and you are connected to ground) .
Simple fix Guarantee .
If it was a laptop you have in question or other complex system that had a simple break like glass, or battery . if the laptop is broken further after examination and I was the cause of it.
Then i will replace it if the part I broke exceeds the bid .
This May sound like bad business and you may be thinking *oh he doesn't know what he is doing*
I actually know exactly what I'm doing and thats why i give these guarantee's .
The Guarantee that I have advertised holds me by law to follow through with it.
So its up to you . buy a new devices/appliances or pay a mechanic, or hire me... Or try sweating to fix it yourself instead of saving yourself headake and time to do other things .
Other things I offer with consulting , is cheaper plumbing bids in which I will hire a plumber to inspect my work. And what bid I give you the plumbers inspection bid will be added.( for Jobs like these will require bigger jobs such as field lines/septic, Piping in trails )
For all my repairs will require no additional bodies .

The Job, what needs to get done, with in legally/skill set, do the job for a good price. As well as respecting exactly what the customer wants .

4 years plumbing experience

Car mechanical experience from Repairing Friends,mine, and faimlies vehicles because mechanics are too expensive.

I do not charge by the hour I give you a fair flat bid
simple Repairs are typically flat $75 for the job + material cost. If out of repair range a charge of $10-20 may occur for gas.
Repairing Appliances/electronics are going to be $100 for the job + material costs .
Repairs for vehicles(that require opening the hood or under the vehicle) are going to be $120 for the job + material costs if Job takes 8 hours will be an additional $40 and if job persists to the next day an additional $40 , but will not exceed in total of my wage of $200 + materials. (Transmission replacements or engine replacements/ rods will require negotiation because of increased dificulty.
Installing pipes,septics and feild lines , will require a licensed plumber to inspect work(however over all cheaper)
The plumber will likely charge between $150-300(not an hour).
I will charge for myself $130(not an hour)
+ the cost of materials and equipment
Off the grid stuff like windmills,solar, hydrogen generators. Call me.
How did you get started in this business?
My father(licensed)owned his own plumbing company and uncle, my uncle was a licensed electrician and others in my family have started their own buisnesses so I saught to do my own.
What types of customers have you worked with?
There are customers who want everything and those who one specific things, it ranges.
If the customer takes my bid I will complete the job.
Because thats the price we agreed on.
The customer wants a worker to do the work or service ,but also wants a fair price for it.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Don't always seek the cheapest deal.
Not everything requires a license cost .
Handymen are not licensed , but are reliable for "odds and ends" do not get central air,Hot water heaters , wall sockets replaced by handy men .
Reasons why( I myself being a HandyMan) while I have the experience to do these tasks I will not , others may, do Not Let Them Do It. We are not covered by insurance . if your water heater(plumbing work) burns up your house you wont be insured.. If your wallsocket was tinkered.. You might be insured but firemen may find out and same goes for central air.
However if it will not cause a fire or its a unnecessary house appliance that was fixed and has all the factory bells and whistles then its perfectly fine.
If a handy man replaces the wiring of an appliance make sure he orders the same type of wiring and the same goes for components .
This is far less costly then a license electrician doing a Technicans job anyways.
Dont let handymen do gas lines ether.
Not because they can't , but because of insurance.
So call me if you want a honest Quote or bid. I will not do anything illegally(I won't break the law) that will harm you legally and I will do it for a handymans price.
A flat rate Jobs done, its trippled checked and you can go on about your day .6month guarantee .
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Common sense .
If you need someone out of your expertise , you should ask for a bid.
Weather it's plumbing, Electrical,mechanical, instalation , and add-ons .
Take a decent bid if you want someone licensed there is nothing wrong with taking the smallest bidder . if you don't know if they are licesned or not ask them , because their bid may be unfair.the lowest bid plumber who isn't a licensed plumber is not the lowest bid plumber, same goes for others.
If you need something done that dosen't require a license then more power to you for saving your money and getting an alternative expert.
