Cruz Landscaping

Called to set appointment to look at the job same day as I posted my project. Very attentive to what I wanted to do in my front yard. The job started the very next day and was completed that evening. Very nice to work with Saul, Very professional.

Just met Mr. Valdez and signed on for some landscaping work. My husband and I find him to be personable, forthcoming, attentive to details, quite knowledgeable and eager to take on a job. He was very thorough in his explanation about his business, and what he offers to his clients. Straight up and honest. I am sure that the work he’ll do on our landscaping, etc., will be great. Looking forward to the results. Would recommend him for landscaping services.

Where do I start? First I couldn’t leave a negative star rating or I would’ve. Hopefully if you are considering using Saul Valdez and his landscaping business you read this review first. I’m going to keep a long story short. We decided to use Valdez landscaping to install sod at our newly built home. He came to our house and picked up a check which he said he needed to pay for the sod in order to install. This should’ve been the first red flag. I could tell by meeting him in person that he was new to this and probably hasn’t done many jobs. The night he picked up the check it was cashed and had cleared my account. He said he would be at my house on Friday a few days later to begin the job. Friday came and went and no call, no show. He showed up a few days later with one employee and a small front loader to start dragging some dirt to make it look like he was grading it. His employee did this for a few hours and then Saul knocked on my door and told me they would be back in the morning with five guys to lay the sod.

That day came and went and once again he didn’t show or call. I started emailing and texting him and received no responses. This went on for a few days before he responded and made up some excuse about another person’s check bouncing and now he didn’t have enough money to buy the sod. He told me I could pay for the sod with more of my own money and he wouldn’t charge for labor. Well duh. Or I could have my money back. I needed grass so I told him I would pay for the grass and have it delivered and he could install it. Here we are three weeks later and I don’t have grass, almost 3k dollars, and he won’t respond to my texts, calls, or emails. Next step is filing a lawsuit against him and his LLC. THIS IS YOUR FAIR WARNING. DO NOT USE THIS KID OR HIS BUSINESS FOR ANYTHING. HE IS A THIEF.

Did not complete the job. Beds not covered all the way as promised. He began a neighbors yard in the middle of mine, and did not finish mine first. Not overly satisfied. Would not hire again

Very professional, arrived on time and very flexible. I will be using their services again

Great job for the price. Took a bit longer than estimated. I recommend.
