We partner with expert designers to help you choose the best finishes for your project, and have a construction team with more than 50 years of combined experience to ensure that your job is done on time and to the highest level of quality. All of our jobs come with a 1-year warranty.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our first step is to have a phone call with a prospective customer to evaluate their renovation needs, budget, and schedule to make sure that we are a mutually good fit. If we think we can be of service, we will set up a meeting with the homeowners in their home with our lead designer and owner/general contractor to see the space, understand your vision, and take photos and measurements. Then, the Doski team will create a 3D rendering of your existing space and the proposed design which we will review with you along wiht a project cost estimate and schedule.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Gary Doski has more than 40 years of experience in residential and commercial building, construction and remodeling hundreds of homes; Doski Building & Remodeling has been a mainstay of building & interior design in Fairfield County area since the early 80s. Gary also has 25 years of experience developing projects in Chief Architect, a sophisticated creative 3D design software application. Along with the required building & remodeling contractor licensing, Gary is also a licensed Building Official in the State of Connecticut. This certification requires thirty hours per year of ongoing ICC building code training.
A project with Doski Building & Remodeling includes design work by Susan Corvo Redesign. Susan Corvo, an award-winning interior designer, is known for creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional for homeowners and businesses in Connecticut and New York. She believes that everyone should love coming home, and that a beautiful home does not have to be expensive. Susan's affiliations include being a member of Association fo Design Education, American Society of Home Stagers and Redesigners, Real Estate Staging Association and certified expert E-Designer. She is also a winner of the Houzz customer service award.

We use a sophisticated estimating software to give you an accurate estimate of your job during the design process. We pledge to get you an estimate within two weeks of our initial design consultation.
How did you get started in this business?
Gary Doski started building houses with his father in the 1970's, and fell in love with the trade. He learned everything about the home construction and remodeling process over the next 30 years, and then began to expand his expertise as he pursued licenses as building official, Chief Architect expert trainer, and more.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with homeowners across Fairfield County looking to build a new home or renovate an existing home. We specialize in kitchen and bath remodels, garage, barn, and poolhouse additions, great room additions, second story additions, and more.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
When hiring someone to renovate your home, you need to make sure that they are going to be a true partner with you and will help give you guidance for all of the major decisions you need to make along the way, from countertop and tile selections to light fixtures, wall placement, and more.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Make sure that you understand your budget before you reach out to a pro. It will also be helpful if you have an idea of your preferences for your new space. For example, if you know that you like having an island in your kitchen, or want a wall oven as opposed to an oven with range, start to make a list of those preferences to share with the design team.
