I love making a difference in people's lives, which I have been doing since childhood as I grew up learning to help others and organize working in my father's shops. Clients often come to me feeling embarrassed about their homes, and overwhelmed. I like to help people develop a guilt free positive approach to their situation, with compassionate judge free listening. I love seeing my clients go from that feeling of dread to excitement, when they realize that their situation really isn't as bad as they first thought, and that there are solutions available - then I get to see the motivation kick in and the co creation begins!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will start with a phone session to establish your needs and goals, which will be approached with compassion, no judgement, and complete confidentiality. I work either with the client or independently depending on their preference. I start by helping my client purge whatever items are no longer wanted, so I know how much of each category I have left to organize. Then I recommend purchases for the home that will make storing items easier, and may recommend alterations to furniture placement. I demonstrate how to make the best use of each storage space in the house and how to keep a clean, streamlined and organized system for each area of the home.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained with The Organizers Club.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $35 an hour, but also offer the following package rates:-
The Kick Start Package - 10 hours at 5% discount = $332.00
The Organize It Package - 20 hours at 10% discount = $630.00
The Serenity Package - 30 hours at 15% discount = $892.00
* I also offer 10% discount to military and the disabled.
How did you get started in this business?
I grew up working in my father's shops and learned how to organize goods and make them look good. An organized stock room was essential, as was a great looking window display. Also I was a performer for years and organization of backstage areas was essential for quick changes. I started learning paperwork organization for myself and decided to take what I'd learned along with all the years of space organizing I had done to start my business. I studied home organizing with The Organizers Club and continue to attend seminars on home and office organizing.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with a wide variety of people:- Families, work from home business people, military, people with disabilities, artists who need creative spaces, clients who are downsizing, and clients who need help moving.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have a client who is a single Mum and her son has ADD and struggles to get inspiration to do his homework and also struggles to focus, or even find the items he needs to work. I set up a brand new homework space in the house especially for him and showed him easy to follow systems to keep an organized work area and work more effectively. He is now doing much better with his homework.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Are you looking to get rid of clutter and get a cleaner and more beautiful feel to your home that you can really relax in? Do you want to get more out of your home? IE Practice hobbies? Do you feel the need for an effective system for your home to be able to function in each area more effectively? Are you struggling to find room for everything and use your storage spaces effectively? Then a Professional Organizer is going to be very beneficial!

What area's are the highest priority in your home? What have you tried to do before and what doesn't work for you? What do you feel is lacking in your life due to your lack of organization? Are you prepared to purge items you no longer need? Do you have any physical disabilities that make things hard to reach in your home?
