Networking and social media
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are fully licensed, bonded, and Insured.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We have a fixed cost budget that is fully detailed and outlines the Scope of Work and pricing that goes along with it. So the client sees the cost and doesn't just feel the cost.
We also offer full project management to oversee the client's project with detailed reports and cost-related topics from all the subs.
How did you get started in this business?
I started working construction in Houston and Dallas, Texas at age 9 years old... Now being 51, I have seen a great deal of construction; building over 100,000 Sqft in my career.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with an array of different types of customers. From Custom Homes to Commercial builds, to Custom one-off projects, to spect building in Cape Cod, craftsman, and even modern homes.
I really enjoy building!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I'm very proud and fond of projects that promote the growth of our youths.
I truly think it's better to build something with your hands than it is to play a video game and waste the mind sitting.
I teach my kids to express themselves with drawings, building, arts and crafts, but don't get me wrong, I do lose the battle at times when they want to play video games with their "online" schoolmates. LOL. Yes, I'm flexible.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The best advice I can give my clients and any future clients is to hire a licensed, bonded, and insured company. And don't be afraid to interview the person and ask tough questions, like: "Have you ever ran into complicated problems on your projects, and if so, how did you resolve them" OR "Have you ever had an insurance claim?"
I hear it time and time again, where clients are not happy because they hired the WRONG person to do their job..."I thought I was getting this, but I got this instead"
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Some really good questions you should ask yourself before doing any construction project are as follows:
1. Do I have the budget for this type of project?
2. Do I have a complete set of plans that cover the details or the Scope of Work (SOW) outlined so I have clarity with the project and the GC or workers.
3. Do I have the time allowed to complete this project?
4. Have I hired the right company that passes the State of California Listening laws.
5. Never pay a BIG deposit upfront. Big red flag...10% or $1,000 whichever is LESS not MORE of the two.
