Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At 7 Oil Company, we pride ourselves on quick responses. Whether its heating, air conditioning, or oil tank services, we can usually get a technician to your location the same day that you call. We provide estimates for installation free of charge, as well as 24/7 emergency service for repairs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our technicians are fully certified and licensed, and all of them work directly for 7 Oil Company. Our technicians take pride in their continued education courses, and strive to stay up to date on all HVAC related subjects.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We provide estimates for installations free of charge. For repairs, we charge 109 dollars plus the cost of any parts that are needed to complete the repair. We have standard rates for regular preventative maintenance services, and we also have service plans available.
How did you get started in this business?
Nearly 35 years ago, our founder started the company with an oil truck and an extensive knowledge of HVAC repair. Over the years, our committment to our customers allowed us to grow to cover most of southern New Jersey, and provide full HVAC service for oil heaters, gas heaters, heat pumps, air conditioning and oil storage tanks.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We provide both residential and commercial HVAC service. We also deliver home heating oil to our residential customers, and diesel fuel, DEF, and gasoline to our commercial and fleet customers.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for technicians that are employees of the company rather than third party subcontractors.Be sure that the company is willing to go over all the cost details with you before they start the work, and a company that employs knowledgeable, certified technicians. Ask about warranties and if the company is going to register the products for you. If products arent registered it could impact their warranty.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
When considering heating and cooling equipment, there are few basics to take into account. What level of efficiency are you looking for? It's important to choose the correct size equipment for your living space. Make sure it's not too small OR too big. What fuel source do you use? What is your budget? Evaluating these questions before you get an estimate will help the process go even smoother.
