Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing we do is listen to the customer to understand what their needs are and determine if we will be a good fit and able to provide the best solution possible.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a background in finance and understand very well how insurance works, which gives us the ability to help guide a customer through the process of a claim, an experience that can be challenging for someone trying to handle it on their own. In addition, we have many years of hands-on experience within our trade, which is allowed us to become very proficient and thorough with the services that we offer.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, pricing for our industry has been standardized by a third party which means that the cost of the services we provide will be consistent with other companies in our industry. To differentiate ourselves, we focus on providing the most value we can for the standardized costs.
How did you get started in this business?
I grew up working in the industry with family. Upon returning from a church service mission, I completed a degree in finance and worked for a short time in the banking and insurance industries. I missed the opportunity of being able to have a “personal touch” with my customers like I had when working in restoration, which ultimately lead me back to the field. We take our mission to “heal properties and restore lives” to heart each and every day!
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with all types of customers including renters, homeowners, retailers, commercial offices and complexes, property managers, realtors, plumbers and other tradesmen, etc.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The holidays are always a special time. Growing up we establish some very fun and meaningful traditions which always brought magic to that time of the year. Now that I’m older and many of those traditions have changed, I still cherish the memories.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who is knowledgeable and has experience in the service(s) that you need. As always, check for the proper credentials including licensing, insurance, training, and reviews. In our industry, if a company is “IICRC Certified”, it usually means they’re a good potential candidate.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What kind of damage has your property sustained and what caused it? Certain kinds of damage or causes of loss may not be covered by your insurance. A knowledgeable pro can help you understand when that may or may not be the case, although the final coverage determination would have to come from the insurance company. In the event there is no coverage, a good company will still try to help by providing options such as financing the cost of the cleanup and repairs.
