Moving by Design is a family owned business. We only use full time moving professionals, no day or temp labor. We will protect your homes at the load and unload site to avoid door, doorways, floors, and walls damage. All items will be padded and shrink wrapped to insure a damage free move.
I love helping people relocate to a new home, office or apartment. I know how stressful moving can be and I employ pro movers to insure this process is stress free.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The majority of our customers contact us for services. We do offer on site visits based on move size.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My name is Tim Gray and I'm the President of Moving by Design. I've been in the moving industry since 1978 and I spent 15 on the trucks. I was head of Operations for a major moving company and became their top salesman. I also have a background in marketing.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Most of our moves are priced at an hourly rate. We have 2 man, 3 man and 4 man and multiple truck rates available.
How did you get started in this business?
I just gradutated from High School and my brother worked for a major van line and I started a long career in the industry
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with residential and commercial customers.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
When hiring a mover make sure they have insurance, a TXDOT number and read thier reviews. The Better Business Bureau is also useful when considering a company. Make sure your prepared on move day. All your boxes should be packed and label. A good rule of packing is if it fits in a box pack it.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Are you insured and can you send me a copy of your Certificate of Insurance? How do you handle damage claims? Do you use your own employees or are you a broker?
