For example, if a technician fixes a leaky pipe under the sink while replacing your broken garbage disposal, the repair covers two "trade" categories—plumbing and appliances—and requires two service fees.

• Secondary damage: If your appliance, roof, or system leaks and the leak causes water damage or mold, SHW may cover the leak repair, but they will not cover damage caused by the leak.

• Structural damage: SHW plans do not cover the home's foundation or any structural components.

• Hazardous materials: Select does not cover appliance or system problems related to hazardous or toxic materials, including asbestos, lead-based products, gas leaks, and carbon monoxide leaks.

• Removal & disposal: SHW does not cover the removal or disposal of any appliance, or any waste associated with the repair or replacement of a covered appliance or system.
