Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
. I went to work at Bethlehem Steel as a pipe-fitters helper during my Junior yr at Abraham Lincoln H.S. here in Sf. soon, I worked my way up to machinist assistance processing Oil & Water Flow Valves & appurtenances, after which I was recruited by a Commercial Plumbing Co. as a plumbing apprentice. I completed Academic studies in Business at LBCB, CCSF, SFSU & Plumbing at PHCC & CCSF's Plumbing Design & Engineering.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
At I Rooter & Plumbing we employ a Flate-Rate pricing system. Our customers are aware in advance of the charges as it relates to the work performed. A detailed invoice is submitted with every work order. There are no hidden charges.
How did you get started in this business?
I love to fix things
What types of customers have you worked with?
I mainly work with Residential Property Owners & or Customers, I am available for Commercial Plumbing needs as well
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent project I am fond of is a job in which the wrong parts were delivered to my jobsite with no time to correct the delivery. The customers were without hot water or heat. I was able to re-configure the system in such a way that allowed for the customer's heat to be restored. It took me more work(I didn't charge the customer extra).
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Some plumbing projects are easily addressed by the DIY'ER or the Local HandyPerson. But oftentimes those quick fixes fail. Sometimes quickly, othertimes, the failure isnt noticed until after much damage has been done Leave it to our experts to properly diagnose, repair and or install your plumbing fixtures.
The advice I would give is to look at their past work, are they responsive, do they offer options to solving or is it always replace not repair.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What am I paying for? What guarantees and assurances are in place. How long is this going to take. Will I be inconvenienced? If yes, how and for how long?
